Jackson Trout Architects was founded in 2020 by Jackson and Danielle Trout, a husband-and-wife team specializing in custom, high-end residential design in Big Sky, Bozeman, and the surrounding Montana landscape.

Jackson and Danielle both studied architecture at Montana State University, where they first met and developed a shared passion for design. With over a decade of experience at a leading residential architecture firm, Jackson brings deep expertise and a refined approach to creating homes that are both functional and beautiful. His thoughtful, highly personalized design process ensures each home reflects the unique vision and lifestyle of its owners.

As a boutique studio, Jackson Trout Architects takes on only a select number of projects each year, allowing for an intimate and focused experience. From the first sketch to the final walkthrough, Jackson will be your primary point of contact, guiding you throughout every step of the journey. While Danielle works behind the scenes, Jackson’s direct involvement ensures that your project receives his full attention and care.

When not working, Jackson and Danielle enjoy outdoor adventures with their son and yellow lab, taking full advantage of Montana’s natural beauty.
